Position: Senior Manager, Policy – EMEA (Contractor)

BSA is currently seeking to retain the services of an experienced policy expert with a policy background in software or data issues, such as privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property. This is a contract position that will work closely with the BSA team to help develop strategies and implement plans to advance BSA’s advocacy agenda in Europe on behalf of BSA members.

Position: Chief Financial Officer

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the President & CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of BSA, the trade association and its related entities, including its wholly-owned for-profit arm (BSA Software Services, Inc.) and Software.org: the BSA Foundation. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the organization. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting and on the financial components of the strategic planning process.

Position: Manager, Communications – EMEA  (Contractor)

BSA is seeking to retain the services of an experienced communications professional to be located in Brussels, to execute strategic communications/PR activities. The intent of this work is to raise the profile and brand awareness of BSA and its key issues before governments, businesses and media throughout the region (EMEA, with focus on Brussels, UK, France, and Germany), and to support BSA’s European policy objectives with proactive, strategic public relations efforts. The incumbent will be based in Brussels and will collaborate with BSA regional and global staff, members, and third parties where appropriate, to implement communications strategies that enhance BSA’s reputation, effectiveness and influence in the region.

Position: Senior Counsel – China

Location: Beijing

The Senior Counsel – China manages BSA’s enforcement activities in China. The Senior Counsel is responsible for all aspects of managing BSA’s enforcement portfolio, including identifying appropriate targets, developing the evidence necessary to bring a successful case, managing outside counsel, and coordinating with members. The Senior Counsel – China reports to the Senior Director, Enforcement – APAC based in BSA’s APAC regional office in Singapore.

Position: Internet Investigator (Temp)
Location: Washington, DC

The Internet Investigator (Temp) will assist the Global Internet Enforcement Department in the removal of online infringing sales of member software, and the investigation of unauthorized electronic distribution of software and other forms of intellectual property rights infringement. The Internet Investigator (Temp) will gain knowledge of the techniques used for distributing, making available and obtaining copyright protected digital files on the Internet, as well as proficiency with using web-based systems and other technologies (e-mail, Peer-to-Peer, web portals, web bots, payment processing mechanisms, etc.) to respond to and/or investigate copyright infringing activity that occurs online.
