Internet Piracy Membership

BSA has established a separate membership category for companies that experience unauthorised distribution of their products on the Internet and wish to be part of the latest advances in industry efforts to combat this growing problem. BSA operates an automated web crawler globally to search for and identify instances of Internet piracy involving member products.

Internet Piracy membership includes:

• The opportunity to list two product titles on BSA’s Internet crawler system (searches P2P systems, IRC, web, FTP and newsgroups*) and have them included in instances of infringement reported to BSA investigators;
• The opportunity to utilise BSA’s established reputation, leverage, and experience in initiating Notice and Takedown actions;
• Regular Reports on products pirated, Notice and Takedown actions, and results; and
• Identification in select BSA materials as a BSA member and use of “BSA Member” logo.
