The Merchants Exchange Building, located in the heart of San Francisco’s financial district, has been a center for the city’s civic, economic, political, and cultural life for more than 100 years. The building’s distinctive architecture, history of notable inhabitants, and ideal location have resulted in making it a prominent landmark. The Merchants Exchange was one of the few buildings to survive the infamous 1906 Earthquake and Fire, and today has been completely restored to its 20th Century grandeur with the benefits of a modern infrastructure.
