Post plays important role in driving US technology innovation
Washington, DC — March 9 —
The Business Software Alliance today applauded President Obama’s appointment of former Department of Health and Human Services CTO Todd Park to be the US Chief Technology Officer.
“I commend the Administration for appointing Todd Park to be the country’s second Federal CTO,” said BSA President and CEO Robert Holleyman. “It is encouraging to see the position filled by someone with such a strong record of accomplishment. The role of Federal CTO has quickly become critical not just in driving government adoption of technologies that improve access to public information and services, but also in promoting technology innovation more broadly.”
“Todd Park arrives at an especially important time,” Holleyman noted. “The advent of cloud computing offers new efficiencies of scale and organizational flexibility for government and private enterprises. The Administration’s ‘cloud first’ initiative is helping to propel that innovation.”
“BSA looks forward to working with Todd Park as he takes the baton from former US CTO Aneesh Chopra and continues applying technology solutions to the country’s biggest challenges.”
