BSA Voices Concerns Over Source Code Access Ahead of EU AI Act’s Final Approval

BSA | The Software Alliance cites concerns over the ability to access systems’ source code addressed in the new transparency obligations in the EU AI Act.
Business groups such as the BSA, also known as the Software Alliance, were concerned about access to source code. The global software industry lobby was worried that it would require "a very high level of technical understanding of the specific AI system, and at the same time jeopardize key trade secrets and intellectual property," the group said in a position paper published last year.
