Holly Canevari

Holly Canevari is BSA’s Chief of Staff and Vice President of Strategy and Operations. She serves as a key partner and representative for internal and external affairs for the President and CEO to ensure the alignment of BSA priorities and operations. Canevari has nearly two decades of policy, legislative, and managerial experience focusing in the areas of security, international relations, and workforce development.

Canevari most recently served as Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Policy where she worked to implement a strategic realignment of activities and was charged with coordinating complex policy issues across DHS and in the interagency. Prior to her role as Chief of Staff, she was a Senior Advisor to the DHS Assistant Secretary of Policy. Canevari also spent time on Capitol Hill for the Committee on Homeland Security as a Senior Professional Staff Member and also with the Office of Congresswoman Jane Harman focusing on supply chain security, information sharing, and aviation security. She also previously served as a Government Relations Representative with United Technologies Corporation’s Washington, DC, office. She began her career in Washington, DC, on the staff of Congressman John Larson.

Canevari has a Master of Arts degree from The Johns Hopkins University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.
