Director, Policy — APAC
Darryn Lim serves as Director, Policy — APAC at BSA | The Software Alliance. Working with BSA members, he manages BSA’s policy and government affairs initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asian markets.
Before joining BSA, Lim served in Microsoft as Director, Trade & Innovation Policy (APAC, Australia, and Japan), focusing on identifying and addressing key policy issues to promote a legal and regulatory environment conducive to Microsoft and its partner ecosystem within the region. Prior to Microsoft, Lim was the Director, Legal & Policy Affairs at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) where his duties included representing Singapore in various international forums and free trade agreement negotiations on intellectual property issues. Before IPOS, Lim held several corporate counsel and policy positions in public and private sector entities, including in the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and a regional telecommunications services provider.
Lim has a law degree from the National University of Singapore and is qualified to practice law in Singapore. He is based in BSA's Singapore office.
