Cloud Economy: the S'pore Lesson

IN THE global market for cloud computing services - soon to drive more than US$1 trillion in new business revenues around the world, according to research firm IDC - Singapore is a country on the move.

Indeed, a new report from BSA, the software alliance, places Singapore in the top tier of countries with the best policy frameworks for fostering growth in information technology's hottest sector. The report examines laws and regulations on key cloud-related issues such as privacy, security, cybercrime, trade and IT infrastructure - and it ranks Singapore fifth out of 24 leading economies, up from 10th last year...
