2015 General Counsel Forum

2015 General Counsel Forum

On November 10-12, 2015, BSA convened the general counsels from leading software companies to discuss legal developments that impact their businesses and the global software industry in Napa Valley, CA.

They addressed critical issues the industry is facing, such as the shifting framework of intellectual property protection; the balance between customers’ rights to privacy and legitimate law enforcement data requests; and market access issues guised as national security concerns that seek to lock software companies out of growing markets around the world, as well as the evolving role of the general counsel as chief compliance officer.

High-tech general counsel, senior government leaders and top industry experts joined to explore these issues at the 2015 BSA General Counsel Forum.
