US, Europe Prep Joint AI Roadmap as Tech Lobby Frets

Policy Director Matteo Quattrocchi at BSA | The Software Alliance urges EU lawmakers to clarify the definition of “high-risk” AI and omit “general AI” from the law’s scope.

“BSA is concerned that applying high-risk obligations to AI systems that can be used for many different low-risk purposes will adversely affect AI development, deployment, and innovation in Europe,” Quattrocchi said in a statement.
