BSA Applauds Passage of Perkins CTE Act to Improve Technical Education
WASHINGTON – July 25, 2018 – BSA | The Software Alliance praises the passage of the Perkins Career and Technical Education (CTE) Act today. Perkins CTE programs are the federal government’s primary tools to support and enhance career and technical education. Technical schools, apprenticeships, and other important education pathways are essential to help the current and future US workforce develop the skills they need to succeed in the new digital economy. This bill will strengthen and expand those programs, making technical education more accessible to Americans across the country.
Thank you Congressmen Glenn Thompson and Raja Krishnamoorthi, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, and Senators Lamar Alexander and Patty Murray for your leadership on this legislation. We hope the President will sign the Perkins CTE Act into law.
