BSA Voices Support for AI in Government Act

WASHINGTON – September 26, 2018 – BSA | The Software Alliance applauds Senators Schatz, Gardner, Portman, and Harris on the introduction of the AI in Government Act of 2018. This bill is an important step in realizing the potential and enhancing the federal government's use of AI and other emerging technologies. There are opportunities for every government agency to leverage AI to improve constituent services and help them fulfill their mission. The creation of the Emerging Technology Policy Lab will play an important role in helping agencies identify those opportunities and ensuring that we are training our government workforce for the jobs of the future. We appreciate the Senators' leadership on these critical issues and look forward to working with Congress as it considers the legislation.
