BSA | The Software Alliance Vice President of US Government Relations Craig Albright talks about the AI hearings and how Congress doesn’t need to wait to set strong and workable rules to govern AI.
“If there was any takeaway from the AI hearings, it’s that there is a clear appetite — among lawmakers and industry leaders alike — to add additional safeguards and regulations for artificial intelligence,” said Craig Albright, vice president of U.S. government relations for BSA, The Software Alliance. “We don’t need to wait to set strong and workable rules governing AI, and there are already proposals available to lawmakers to set rules for high-risk uses of artificial intelligence in consequential decision-making.”
