BSA | The Software Alliance is asking the Office of Management and Budget to lead an effort to harmonize and deconflict several current cyber policy activities.
BSA lists eight regulatory efforts currently underway including the OMB draft memo, the Pentagon's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program, two proposed rules to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation related to the 2021 cyber executive order, an interim final rule on the Federal Acquisition Security Council and CISA's request for information for its upcoming incident reporting regulation.
The memo also highlights a draft OMB memo focused on reforms to the General Services Administration's FedRAMP program and a recent proposed rule from the Commerce Department establishing new requirements for infrastructure-as-a-service providers.
