BSA organizes an event featuring a panel on “The Future of a Connected Asia-Pacific: Why Personal Data-Transfer Interoperability is Key” in collaboration with Asian Business Law Institute (ABLI) and hosted by Microsoft. The panel convenes a number of key privacy experts and regional regulators from India, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. The panel focuses on the need for interoperable personal data transfer frameworks and mechanisms – particularly from the perspective of the software industry, where services are often offered over the cloud.
