US: BSA Software Security Framework Launch Event

On April 30, BSA hosted a breakfast discussion to launch the BSA Framework for Secure Software in Washington, DC. After welcoming remarks from Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance, Ashden Fein, Partner at Covington & Burling LLP, discussed global software security developments. Tommy Ross, BSA’s Senior Policy Director, then presented BSA’s Framework, a first-of-its-kind tool for guiding and assessing efforts to enhance software security. The event also featured remarks by Rafi Martina, who spoke on behalf of Senator Mark Warner (D-VA). Following the presentations, senior representatives from government, media, think-tanks, and industry stakeholders all participated in the discussion of the framework and its potential role.
