Major industry groups are encouraged by the emphasis on CISA’s ICT task force and a recommendation to create a supply chain office at the Commerce Department contained in a major Commerce-DHS report on the information and communications technology supply chain industrial base.
Henry Young of BSA | The Software Alliance said, “BSA welcomes the recommendations made in the report, many of which build off and support existing BSA documents and priorities, including increasing opportunities and improving training programs for the diverse workforce needed to secure our shared future and adopting risk-mitigation best practices for securing the ICT supply chain, such as the assurance-based approach BSA advocates in Building a More Effective Strategy for ICT Supply Chain Security."
