BSA Welcomes Introduction of the Blockchain Records and Transactions Act
WASHINGTON – September 28, 2018 – BSA | The Software Alliance applauds Representative Schweikert for introducing the Blockchain Records and Transaction Act. This bill updates the E-SIGN Act to remove any doubt about the legal efficacy of digital records and contracts that are stored on a blockchain. By shoring up the legal foundations of blockchain-based records and transactions, this bill provides certainty that will enable the technology to reach its full potential.
