Data-Driven Bias a Focus on Telecom Advisory Agency’s Agenda

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration is examining how commercial collection and use of personal information can lead to discrimination.

“The NTIA intends to make a factual basis that policymakers can build on,” said Kate Goodloe, senior policy director for BSA | The Software Alliance, a trade association. Goodloe added that she hopes the advisory agency effort signals that the Biden administration will push for comprehensive privacy legislation, which the software group supports.
