CrowdStrike Joins BSA as New Global Member
CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-native cybersecurity solutions, joins leading tech association
WASHINGTON – May 18, 2022 – BSA | The Software Alliance today announced that CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-delivered protection of endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data, has joined as a global member. The CrowdStrike Falcon® platform leverages powerful software tools such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, behavioral analytics, proactive threat hunting, and cloud analytics to protect its customers from cyberattacks and enable them to detect and respond to threats in real time.
“I am pleased to welcome CrowdStrike as a BSA global member,” said Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of BSA. “Cybersecurity safeguards digital transformation and must be a priority for enterprises and policymakers as digital services play an increasing role in our lives. I look forward to collaborating with CrowdStrike and fellow BSA members on policies that improve cybersecurity for emerging technologies, modernize government IT, and cultivate a cyber workforce trained to handle the evolving threat landscape.”
Founded in 2011, CrowdStrike is known for its cloud-native Falcon platform that provides industry-leading protection for the endpoint, cloud, identity, data, and more. The Falcon platform is powered by the CrowdStrike Security Cloud, which uses AI to correlate trillions of data points including security events, threat activity, threat intelligence and data from across the enterprise.
CrowdStrike is consistently recognized as a market and technology leader in cybersecurity. Recently, CrowdStrike was named a leader by Forrester for cybersecurity incident response services for Q1 2022 and endpoint detection and response providers for Q2 2022, and received a No. 1 ranking in the Fortune Future 50. CrowdStrike is also a member of the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), working alongside the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and industry partners to strengthen the nation’s cyber defenses.
“At CrowdStrike, we protect organizations around the globe against breaches, which means that beyond our core work in cybersecurity policy, we’re heavily engaged in policy developments affecting how organizations can leverage IT and protect privacy against cyber threats,” said Drew Bagley, Vice President of Privacy & Public Policy at Crowdstrike. “Our partnership with BSA will help us collaborate and share perspectives with forward-thinking companies and policymakers to promote innovation while strengthening security and privacy outcomes.”
BSA advocates for laws and policies that deliver strong, holistic cybersecurity protections and promote trust and transparency throughout the technology ecosystem, while weighing the need for innovation and competition in the market.
