Australia: BSA Comments on Australia’s National AI Standards Consultation
BSA filed comments with Australia’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet on its consultation paper on national AI Standards. BSA recommended that obligations be allocated according to each entity’s role, information and control, that information sharing remain voluntary, and that any AI incident reporting requirement be narrowly defined. BSA also urged the Government to build local capability through AI adoption rather than conditions on training, and to align copyright settings with its AI investment objectives, drawing on Singapore’s approach.
