Media Advisory: BSA CEO, Board Members and Sen. Hatch Announce Priorities for Software Industry
To conclude BSA member fly-in, BSA CEO and board members will provide comments on patent reform, government access to data, and global trade issues
WHAT: BSA President & CEO Victoria Espinel, in conjunction with Senator Orrin Hatch (R – Utah), Microsoft’s Brad Smith and Salesforce.com’s Burke Norton will address progress made on the most pressing issues facing the software industry and the next steps for patent reform, striking the right balance between privacy protections and government access to private data, and moving forward on global trade agreements. The comments conclude a full day of meetings with Members of Congress and the Administration as part of BSA’s General Counsel fly-in.
