BSA Recommends Strengthening AI Governance, Investment in AI R&D

Nearly half of the companies and tech groups whose proposals MT reviewed, including Anthropic, the Business Software Alliance and Google, urged Trump to have NIST continue playing at least some role in the US AI strategy going forward. These asks ranged from housing public-private AI partnerships within NIST to having the agency continue its measurements and standards work regardless of whether it's through the lens of safety, security or something else.
