IAPP Panel on Federal Privacy Legislation: Obstacles and Opportunities
Speaker: Kate Goodloe, Managing Director, BSA | The Software Alliance
BSA | The Software Alliance’s Kate Goodloe joins a panel discussion on state legislative efforts in Congress, the need for privacy legislation, and the potential impact on emerging technologies.

Among other things, panelists will discuss the need for federal privacy legislation, the relationship between current proposals and existing laws, the potential impact on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the debates over preemption, enforcement mechanisms, and other topics.
