BSA CEO Victoria Espinel Comments on Harris' Approach to AI

BSA | The Software Alliance CEO Victoria Espinel encourages consistency among AI legislative efforts in a potential Harris administration.
“Many of our members are actually out in front of where legislation is now,” said Espinel. “I think consistency is a big part of our overall aim. That's important at the national level. It's important globally.”
The closest the industry got to guidance on Harris' approach to AI came earlier in the week, when her brother-in-law and campaign adviser Tony West said she would seek “balance” between innovation and consumer protections.
