Other Business Groups Join BSA in Criticizing Commerce Dept. Supply Chain Rule

Several other business groups joined the software industry organization BSA last week in criticizing a proposed Commerce Department rule on information and communications technology supply chain security. The US Chamber of Commerce shared BSA’s concerns about the rule’s reach, and the need for additional transparency. “The rulemaking would provide the Department with nearly unlimited authority to interfere in virtually any commercial transaction that covers a substantial portion of the U.S. economy,” the Chamber wrote.
