BSA | The Software Alliance Praises Administration STEM Initiative
WASHINGTON – September 26, 2017 – BSA | The Software Alliance applauds the White House for its commitment to STEM and computer science education in an initiative announced yesterday. The software industry faces a pipeline shortage – the Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts there will 1.4 million computing job openings in 2020, but only 400,000 graduates with the skills to fill them. The Administration’s initiative is a much-needed step toward investments in STEM education that will create jobs for Americans, and maintain the software industry’s growth and innovation.
