BSA Commends Japanese Government’s Teleworking Initiative

TOKYO – March 24, 2020 – BSA | The Software Alliance applauds Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for taking steps to promote teleworking and staggered work hours to halt the spread of COVID-19.

“Promoting sound public health practices is of the utmost importance to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Teleworking is one way that we can practice social distancing and protect the most vulnerable in our communities,” said Jared Ragland, Senior Director, Policy — APAC at BSA | The Software Alliance. “BSA commends Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare for taking this step to encourage remote work.”

“BSA’s member companies have risen to this global challenge by offering resources to help teams stay connected,” he continued. “Studies show the positive effects of remote work, including better work-life balance, enhanced productivity and efficiency, and increased motivation. We’re proud to represent responsible enterprise software companies that provide the tools to make remote work possible.”
