Software industry executives today urged Congress to move quickly to pass updated Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation with strong digital trade provisions in a letter sent to Congressional committee leadership. BSA sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee calling for legislation to curb abusive patent litigation practices.  Such legislation would lower the cost of patent suits and reduce the financial incentives to file abusive litigation.
