BSA Applauds Marti Confirmation as New IP Enforcement Coordinator
WASHINGTON, DC — February 23, 2015 —
BSA | The Software Alliance today applauded the confirmation of Daniel Marti to serve as the next US Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC).
“I want to congratulate Daniel Marti on his confirmation as US Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator. The IPEC’s office plays a critical role in fostering and continuing American innovation by ensuring that the US government is taking the right steps to protect intellectual property. This is an important issue for entrepreneurs and business owners across the economy, and I commend the Senate for moving quickly on his confirmation,” said BSA President and CEO Victoria Espinel, who served as the country’s first Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator prior to joining BSA. “It was a privilege to serve as the nation’s first IPEC, and I wish Daniel Marti the best of luck as he begins this new role.”
