BSA Welcomes Hadrien Valembois as Senior Policy Manager in EMEA
BRUSSELS – July 6, 2021 – BSA | The Software Alliance expands its global policy team today with the addition of Hadrien Valembois, who joins BSA as a Senior Manager, Policy – EMEA. Based in Brussels, Valembois will work closely with BSA members to advance policy positions on key issues in the EMEA region, with a focus on data and cloud policies.
“I am pleased to welcome Hadrien Valembois to our growing team in Europe as BSA continues our work to promote policies that instill trust in technology,” said Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance. “Hadrien’s range of experience working both in the private sector and with EU policymakers will help us continue to collaborate with European institutions, governments, and other stakeholders in the region to protect privacy, promote the free flow of data across borders, and advocate for strong cybersecurity policies.”
Before joining BSA, Valembois was a Policy Officer at the Europe Office of the International Trademark Association (INTA), where he advocated issues relating to intellectual property, the fight against counterfeiting, the digital single market, cybersecurity, Brexit, AI, and blockchain in front of EU institutions and Member States. Valembois holds an LL.M. in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. He also holds a master’s degree in law, a master’s degree in international relations, and a certificate in philosophy from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
