WASHINGTON – At a time when artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities are at the forefront of public discourse, more than 40 countries will exercise their right to vote in public elections this year. Today during the Munich Security Conference, companies committed to strengthening election integrity by signing the Deceptive AI Election Content Accord. “The Accord to combat deceptive uses of AI in the coming elections demonstrates an important, private-sector commitment to take action against the misuse of AI. While bad actors will try to use AI to manipulate the public, the Accord also recognizes that responsible AI and other digital tools can be part of the solution.
