EU: BSA Response to the NIS Cooperation Group’s Call for Feedback and Contributions on Post-Quantum Cryptography
The Business Software Alliance (BSA) submitted feedback to the NIS Cooperation Group on the EU Roadmap for the Transition to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). BSA welcomes the Roadmap’s urgency on the “harvest-now, decrypt-later” threat, clear milestones for 2026–2035, pilot programs, and international coordination. BSA recommends strengthening the strategy by integrating AI to accelerate upgrades, enhancing public–private partnerships, ensuring global interoperability through international standards, addressing supply chain dependencies, aligning PQC with EU regulations (DORA, CRA, NIS2), improving transparency, and securing funding and workforce support. BSA looks forward to continued collaboration with EU and global partners to enable a secure PQC transition.
