WASHINGTON – January 8, 2020 – BSA | The Software Alliance commends today’s passage of House Resolution 575, which encourages stakeholders involved in the deployment of 5G communications infrastructure to consider and adhere to the recommendations of the Prague Proposals. Forward-looking national supply chain risk management policies are key to enhancing the security, integrity, and vitality of the global digital economy.
“BSA applauds the House of Representatives for endorsing these best practices for 5G risk management. We’re especially pleased to see that the Resolution is consistent with BSA’s Supply Chain Risk Management Principles for Good Governance,” said Tommy Ross, Senior Director, Policy at BSA | The Software Alliance. “The Resolution lays out principles that should inform supply chain policies in the US and around the world. Those principles include transparency, fairness, collaboration, and interoperability. We thank Representatives Bill Flores and Darren Soto for introducing this important Resolution and look forward to continuing to collaborate with Congress as supply chain risk management policies evolve.”
