February 13, 2020
Washington, DC
Speakers: Victoria Espinel, President and CEO, BSA | The Software Alliance and Tommy Ross, Senior Director, Policy, BSA | The Software Alliance
This April, the Congressionally mandated Cyberspace Solarium Commission will deliver a far-ranging report recommending new strategies to secure the United States against an increasingly diverse and sophisticated series of threats. The Commission will challenge Congress to legislate new frameworks for defending cyberspace, promoting international cooperation, and collaborating with industry.
BSA hosts a discussion on how Congress should address these crucial cybersecurity challenges. Representative Jim Langevin (D-RI) offers remarks on cybersecurity policy as the Cyber Solarium Commission prepares to release its report. BSA also shares recommendations from its soon-to-be-launched Cybersecurity Agenda, which outlines a set of priorities to help government and industry build effective cybersecurity policies that preserve trust and strengthen the digital economy.
