Irma Gudziunaite

Director, Policy — EMEA

Irma Gudziunaite is Director, Policy – EMEA at BSA | The Software Alliance in Brussels, Belgium. She works with BSA members to develop and advance policy positions on privacy, trade, and cross-border data flows.

Before joining BSA, Gudziunaite was a diplomat at the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union, where she negotiated EU policy on data protection, fundamental rights, judicial cooperation, and criminal matters. She previously served as Lithuania’s Justice Vice-Minister, coordinating national policy on EU law, civil law and IP, international cooperation, fundamental rights, and privacy. As Vice-Minister, Gudziunaite also led the implementation of the EU’s data protection reform into Lithuania’s national legal system.

Gudziunaite is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Vilnius University. She is fluent in English and Lithuanian.
