BSA Calls for Federal AI Legislation in Comments to OSTP
Politico Pro Morning Tech, July 7, 2023
By Mallory Culhane
BSA | The Software Alliance used OSTP comments as an opportunity to push for legislation requiring impact assessments to identify risks of the development or deployment of AI.
BSA also calls on the government and industry to invest “in programs to support the creation of alternative paths to AI careers that enable workers to develop high-demand technology skills without the need for a bachelor’s or graduate degree.” IBM is also advocating for increased investment in the General Services Administration’s AI Center of Excellence.
