BSA Encourages Creation of Government Post-Quantum Cryptography Strategy to Guide Implementation
Inside Cybersecurity
By Jacob Livesay
Moving to post-quantum cryptography should be led by the creation of a strategy developed by the government, according to a new paper from BSA | The Software Alliance, which outlines six proposals for ensuring a smooth transition for the public and private sectors.
“Quantum computing will deliver tremendous value for businesses and the public, but we need to take action now to account for its security implications. BSA is calling on governments and the private sector to plan for a quantum world and invest in the transition to post-quantum cryptography,” BSA senior director of policy Henry Young said.
