BSA Says States Are Leading the Way on AI Legislation

Multiple states enacted significant laws this year that will for the first time target how the private sector uses AI. Observers said they expect state AI policy work to accelerate next year amid congressional inaction on the subject.
A look at the numbers: At least 407 AI-related bills were introduced this year across 41 states, according to an analysis by business software trade group BSA | The Software Alliance.
