BSA Says Virginia Veto on AI Bill Reflects Growing Caution on AI Regulation
Inside AI Policy
The Business Software Alliance says Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s recent veto of an artificial intelligence bill, HB 2094, comes amid growing wariness of the economic impacts of AI regulation among policymakers.
“The Business Software Alliance appreciates the careful consideration Gov. Youngkin devoted toward determining his position on HB 2094, and the strides made by the Virginia legislature to incorporate stakeholder input in crafting its approach to artificial intelligence policy,” BSA senior director of state advocacy Heather Curry said in a March 25 release.
