BSA Senior Director of Policy Henry Young Comments on Effects of US Kaspersky Decision

BSA | The Software Alliance Senior Director of Policy Henry Young comments on the US Commerce Department’s willingness to protect national security in light of the sanctions issued against Kaspersky Lab.

When the action was only before the administration, Henry Young, a former Commerce Department consultant and now a lobbyist for the Business Software Alliance, called it "a new era in which the Commerce Department will be more willing to intervene in the name of protecting national security." He also told CNN that companies "owned or controlled by a foreign adversary should take note," because the intervention shows "a willingness to prohibit transactions that create an unacceptable risk to the national security of the United States."
