BSA SVP Global Policy Aaron Cooper Comments on CISA Director Nomination
Inside Cybersecurity
By Sara Friedman
Aaron Cooper, senior vice president of global policy at the Business Software Alliance, commented, “BSA welcomes Sean Plankey's nomination to become the next director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. CISA is an important government partner for enterprise software companies that lead in the development of cybersecurity solutions, and Sean Plankey's experience in government should help prepare him for this crucial role.”
BSA sent a letter on March 6 to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem providing recommendations on the role of CISA.
Cooper said, “As BSA wrote to Sec. Noem, there is an opportunity to recenter CISA's work on its core mission, and we look forward to working with Mr. Plankey, if confirmed, in realizing that goal."
