BSA SVP Govt Relations Craig Albright Comments on DOGE's Potential Influence on AI Policy

When it comes to DOGE, tech lobbyists are well aware there have been plenty of historic efforts to streamline government. 

“We’ve seen lots of them over the years,” said Craig Albright, a senior vice president at BSA, a trade group for B2B software companies like Microsoft that are major producers of artificial intelligence. 

Few if any efficiency efforts have produced results. But the industry is hoping the buzz around DOGE can succeed where others have failed, even if the exact form, powers, budget and personnel of the non-government entity are all still TBD. “This one feels different,” Albright said.
