BSA Urges Policymakers to Change Vietnam's Draft Cybersecurity Law

The Business Software Alliance, or BSA, which represents software companies including Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, has released its comments on Vietnam's proposed amendments to the Law on Cybersecurity. The group recommends narrowing broad definitions of service providers and information systems, aligning rules with global standards, dropping data localization requirements and removing provisions that allow government access to and deletion of data.
