BSA Urges WH to Balance AI Opportunities with New Guardrails

BSA | The Software Alliance’s Vice President of US Government Relations Craig Albright talks about the White House administration meeting with top agency officials on AI.

“It’s great to see the White House talking about the need to ‘seize the opportunities’ of AI while mitigating its risks,” said Craig Albright, vice president of U.S. government relations for BSA, a global software industry group. But Albright added there’s concern “the White House and Congress won’t pass legislation to establish clear, workable and national rules on issues like bias when AI systems are used in consequential decision-making.”
