BSA Welcomes Latest Draft of EUCS
Tagesspiegel Background

BSA | The Software Alliance Director General, Policy — EMEA Thomas Boué discusses the cross-industry letter led by the Global Data Alliance supporting the EUCS.
The sovereignty requirements have raised concerns about possible restrictions on cloud providers, which is why the Business Software Alliance (BSA) welcomes the latest draft, said Thomas Boué, Policy Director of the BSA, to Tagesspiegel Background. The current draft helps customers “to evaluate and select the best and safest certified solutions from a purely technical cybersecurity perspective.” But that doesn't just apply to the technology sector. As Boué announced to Tagesspiegel Background, the BSA will publish a letter through the Global Data Alliance together with other cross-industry organizations. This calls on the European Cybersecurity Certification Group (ECCG) to complete the process quickly. In addition, the Commission should “continue with the preparation of the implementing regulation without the sovereignty requirements”.
