BSA’s Commerce Comments Address Reducing Costs for IaaS Providers

BSA | The Software Alliance commented on the proposed rule by the Commerce Department to advocate for scoping to make the rulemaking more targeted on addressing foreign ownership and reducing costs for IaaS providers.
Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security received nearly 500 comments on the proposed rule including from BSA | The Software Alliance which advocated for scoping to make the rulemaking more targeted on addressing foreign ownership and reducing costs for IaaS providers and Amazon Web Services which raised security issues over the proposed requirements.
