Export Control Comments Urge Caution

BSA | The Software Alliance warns that some of the 14 categories of technology outlined in the government’s notice that could be subject to new controls “have existed for decades and are ubiquitous in commercial products and services.” The industry group’s comments say the administration’s national security objectives “can be achieved only through a careful balancing of equities, including the strategic imperative of ensuring that the U.S. remains the global hub for innovation.”
