Thomas Boué, director general of policy for the EMEA with the Business Software Alliance, told Cyber Insights that tomorrow’s ruling will be “a moment of inflection for transatlantic data flows.” “If the framework were invalidated, businesses on both sides of the Atlantic would face severe legal uncertainty, with major implications for how companies transfer data and deliver digital services. If the case is dismissed, it would underscore that the EU recognizes the importance of maintaining legal certainty and a stable mechanism for transatlantic data transfers,” he said.
