Tech Lobby Urges EU to Avoid Regs on "General AI"

BSA | The Software Alliance and nine tech industry groups released a statement arguing that general purpose AI "can be applied in a multitude of often low-risk use cases." The lobbyists warn that the Czech proposal would undermine the AI Act’s rick-based approach to regulation, “severely impact” open source AI development in Europe and undercut technological development on the continent.
